Lycoris Radiata

I am many names
That pepper the pages
Of those that seek
To bottle me in kind.

I hide within games
Of playful stages
That favor the meek
When my treasure they find.

I am coated in flames
With tendrils like cages
That cascade oblique
With beauty entwined.

These red spider lilly’s decided to show up in the backyard. They hadn’t bloomed in awhile.

  1. My oh my…I don’t think I have ever seen anything like this. Lorca, on the other hand, must have.

    But hurry! so united, entwined,
mouths broken by love and soul bitten,
    time will find us destroyed

It’s great that you stepped out of your enchanting floral haiku to make sth equally powerful and memorable.
    Me likey a lot!!!

FTR, I’m envious of your backyard.
