Parceled Presence ~ MORALITY PARK

Tired of this reality,
Our self-imposed complexity.
Rending and unending,
We’re just synchronicity
Paired in the present.
Comparing the past.

Don’t mistake me,
Ignore, or forsake me.
Dwindling in darkness,
Swallowed and wallowing,
Forever following patterns
Repeated until we’ve defeated
All sense and sensibility.

I’ll stop.

Let go the chance that breath returns.
Loosen my grip to show
That what matters was not,
What becomes all we’ve got
As sunsets and sunrises flow
Into boxes, and baskets, and urns.

  1. I should have known you were into hip hop. Rash my ass!

I love the language of this piece, the atmosphere that u so magically paint, the irregular rhyme. It’s heavy and yet so light and airy, catchy and melodic. You nailed it with this one. Hats off.

    1. Thank you so much…there are some hidden secrets for my music. While there was no intent to mimic the style, here is one of those secrets revealed:
“This speech is my recital, I think it’s very vital
To rock a rhyme that’s right on time
It’s Tricky tricky, here we go”

However, leave Rash out of this.
