Love’s Song

The tempo. The cadence.
Hearts patter and pound
The solemn after
Of moments shared
And balance each beat.

Breaths that break
The sacred silence,
Exchanging air like
Whispering woodwinds
Greeting the moon.

Voice meeting voice
In harmonic passion,
Confiding and colliding
With each give and take
Until quiet gazes remain.

  1. Oh wow, what a passionate poem. The sacred silence, indeed.
Passion energizes, whatever we do. Passionately working, passionately living, passionately loving.
As great van Gogh said, I’d rather die of passion, than of boredom.
Your poet does everything with passion and is definitely not bored.
