It’s easier not to write,
To standup, or to fight
For just one moment of clarity.
In a world of waiting for
Truths to be ladled in
Dollops of daily drivel
Regurgitated and reconstituted
For easy consumption.
Charred. Chewed. Spewed.
The spinning tops are testaments
To the ease of one’s subjugation.
What use the resistance
When rewarded with
The remote in one hand
And ignorance in the other.
It might be a 5 o’clock world
Of loud blowing whistles,
But it’s the 6 o’clock hatelines
That will justify Armageddon.

No shit!!!! Dayuum, Wulfman you got my heart beating 💓

Wow, BW, so powerful. Tom Robbins’s excerpt (Link below) about ‘the beet’ came to mind (HUGE COMPLIMENT, one of my favorite quotes ever). The title, too, brilliant.

I hear ya. I almost wanted to categorize this as a rant and not a poem.

How bad would it sound if I told you – I knew it? How pretentious of me is it?

Not bad at all…nor pretentious. You’ve come to know me as a writer as well as a person. You are also insanely intelligent. I completely understand that you knew it.
