Dancing Wulf

I have to say that your friendly, neighborhood Wulf was incredibly and pleasantly surprised at the number of people that decided to take him up on the request posted here to let your inner child out and dance dance dance. I received a lot of positive feedback. See, I told you it would be contagious. It was so contagious, that it happened to me…again…this morning while I was driving in to work. I am sure I was VERY entertaining to the suit in the Lexus to my right, and the lady in the Expedition with the three kids. Not that I expect they read these….but if they do…

I hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as I did.

Look. I know. I get it. We all have SO  many fucking reasons to hate the sunrise. It seems more and more reasons are added as each day passes. But what if…just what if you could find one single reason to jump up, or raise your hands in the air like you just don’t care? What if, in the midst and middle of all that is bleak, you could find a reason to remember why the smell of flowers is so great. What if you could remember what it is like to weep for joy when you see the sun setting over a mountain range or on the ocean’s horizon.

So this is me…in my selfish need to try and spread some additional brightness your way, bringing you another opportunity. DO it! Do it now!!! Stop in the middle of your reality and crank this one up. Get up if you can and jump around the room. Sit if you can’t and do the chair dance with reckless abandon. Smile afterwards and watch the dark retreat if only for awhile. If only until the next time you get the chance to flip it a big fuck you as you dance dance dance again.

Here is In A Big Country, by the Scottish band Big Country.

I’ve never seen you look like this without a reason
Another promise fallen through
Another season passes by you
I never took the smile away from anybody’s face
And that’s a desperate way to look
For someone who is still a child

In a big country dreams stay with you
Like a lover’s voice fires the mountainside
Stay alive, here we go

I thought that pain and truth were things that really mattered
But you can’t stay here with every single hope you had shattered
I’m not expecting to grow flowers in a desert
But I can live and breathe
And see the sun in wintertime

In a big country dreams stay with you
Like a lover’s voice fires the mountainside
Stay alive

In a big country dreams stay with you
Like a lover’s voice fires the mountainside
Stay alive

So take that look out of here it doesn’t fit you
Because it’s happened doesn’t mean you’ve been discarded
Pull up your head off the floor, come up screaming
Cry out for everything you ever might have wanted
I thought that pain and truth were things that really mattered
But you can’t stay here with every single hope you had shattered, see ya
I’m not expecting to grow flowers in a desert
But I can live and breathe
And see the sun in wintertime

In a big country dreams stay with you
Like a lover’s voice fires the mountainside
Stay alive
Ha, ha

In a big country dreams stay with you
Like a lover’s voice fires the mountainside
Stay alive

In a big country dreams stay with you
Like a lover’s voice fires the mountainside
Stay alive
