Oceans Deep

I toss. I turn.
I tremble. I yearn.
Vacancy aching me
Painfully waking me.
Wondering where
As I distantly stare
Across, then into,
The wonder of you
And those waters so dark,
So deep and so stark
In them I found you.
I saw me.

    1. Thank you, Susan. I love the way you latch on to certain phrasings. I am still blown away by the way you said the prior poem was of a language before you learned to breathe. I never really told you how poetic a comment that was…or how it moved me.
