Cravings

I feel it now, the hunger rising,
Unwanted, unbidden and unashamed.
Dismantling me frame by frame.
With anxious tides it tears at me
In the rapids and rip-currents you create.
With quickened pace I prowl and face
A wall of granite denial that will not crack
Nor resolve crush, yet rebound each battered
Attempt to break through. Whilst leaving me bent.
Bowed and unspent. Unbridled but distant.
The spinning fervor and furious wake
Your passing scores into this cliff etches
With lines forever marking me yours.
