Safe Passage

The space between where and there

Brings one not joy but anxiousness and fear.

The distances measured by degrees of hope

Are, instead, miles and miles of a dreamscape.

There is no ship to sail these windswept waters

And keep the heart intact and untouched.

So return, instead, to the familiar of then

And never journey beyond that placid bay.

    1. The fact that it found you, Brooke, and moved you proves the light still burns, and that you can still be touched. Don’t ever be the one to diminish the power that is you. It is grander and more magical than you think.
