Song Lyric Sunday 11/19/17 – Growing Old

In Helen’s prompt for Song Lyric Sunday post she states

“I don’t know about you, but it seems that when I turned 40, all sorts of new things started happening with my body that had never happened before and I came to the realization that I was ‘getting old’”.

So I chose for this week’s challenge a song about be very, very old. From the great band Kansas, I give you their classic 1977 song Dust in the Wind.

I close my eyes, only for a moment, and the moment’s gone
All my dreams, pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind, all they are is dust in the wind

Same old song, just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do, crumbles to the ground though we refuse to see
Dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind.
Oh________________

Don’t hang on, nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away, all your money won’t another minute buy

Dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind
Dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind
Dust in the wind, everything is dust in the wind (everything is dust in the wind)
