Spaces Between

That gap is too wide. That chasm too deep.
The void that is you too quiet. Too dark.
It needs presence. A touch present and focused. For you.
I’ll pour my waters deep into the well of your soul. Fill it
Till it is teeming with new hope that sparkles
From the light dancing in your eyes to play upon
The pool of desire that ripples with your smile.
I’ll lay down for you and bridge the widening distance
That those unworthy of your touch pushed too far apart.
I’ll tether your halves with these my arms entwining
And embrace you till you are whole. I’ll hold you long.
I’ll hold you true and fill the blank spaces between
You and you. I’ll swallow the world to guard you evermore.

  1. So beautiful.

Spoken in such a way that a lady would believe it. Strangely comforting. : )

          1. Yeah, it is pretty intense. I am surprised I am the first to do this with you. It feels a bit like an intensive writers group, although I have never been part of a writers group. I certainly don’t want to make you feel uncomfortable in any way.

              1. I think we often have to feel a bit uncomfortable to grow. I am a bit uncomfortable too, but I am ok with it; it is making me think and see. I forgot I had read that Tom is doing the deep dive as well; I am so glad! It is an incredibly enriching experience from both sides.
