Day’s Dream.

Dawn comes and with it hope from those eyes. Her light.
Radiance bathes me in the light from that face. Her smile.
Greeting words welcome and warm this restless heart. Her voice.
And with my exit the pain of darkened quiet re-stakes it’s claim.

In the midst of the day’s madness she touches me. Her words.
They soothe this soul if but for only a moment in time. Her kindness.
Echoing in me, the angry world briefly vanishes. Her thoughts.
But reality’s weight pierces that veil and shatters me, again, like glass.

Soft glowing of night’s light calms the day’s angst. Her eyes.
Gentle joys of promised peace are my lullabies. Her songs.
A beacon of beauty she anchors me to slumber safely. Her love.
And in sleeping once more the cycle renews for my dream’s desire.
