Jealousy

She rises. Bleak. Shaking. Confused.
The twisting snakes within her
Convulse and tighten their grip.
Her mind reels at the heard and unseen
As she both wants and reviles the unknown.
The act of reflection, her refuge no more,
Transformed to a cage of solitary doubt and doom.
With angry eyes she flashes and angry words she lashes.
The voice inside that drives against her will
Kisses her mind and breathes life to vile visions.
These visions that woke her. That broke her.
And she screams at him, at her, at them
Until the tears flow green to paint her face.
